Who knows why? Who can predict when? How do you report a bug like that?

I'll be doing something and suddenly, I can't apply focus anywhere. Click on the inventory screen, no focus. Click on the chat bar or IM bar, no focus. Click on the background, no focus. No other popups available. Is it the asset server? Download bar seems ok. Wait, wait, wait, eventually it clears up and I can do stuff again.

It sounds like lag. What I do whenever I notice something is not responding (e.g. focus) is I give some time for things to stabilize. Usually there's a cue when things clear up (something moves or changes).

Are you in edit, map , or searching at the time this happens?

Its a known bug and they are working on it....or have already found the fix. I believe it will be in todays new rev.

Its been bugging me since last week also. I'll be editing or searching and then nothing....can't move, zoom, click anything.....it usually goes away after a few seconds. When I first started seeing it, I was rebooting SL, but now I just wait it out.

Sometimes clicking on diff tabs in the search will clear it also.

Assuming you're using a PC, simply click the SL button on the taskbar. This will minimize the application. Then click the SL button again. Voila. SL unfrozen.
