Damndest thing. Glad I didn't pay for 'em.

Maybe it's time to dyke out the rest of the code, wot?

Been shown some windchimes behaving most eratically, no matter what sim they're rezzed in. Looks like Joints have finally broken for good, but they forgot to pull out all the code... so they're trying to keep working. Prims flying everywhere, including off-world, and Linden trees freezing in place around them.

Yep looks like it. All the places that I know had those wind chimes have broken. The swing I was working on long ago broke many many versions ago. SO I would say yes Joints are Dead.

Apparently, it's a bug. They were not planning to break the joints yet. Unfortunately, I can't send him a copy of the chime, as they are no-transfer, and I can't get inworld at the moment. If someone else can take care of this with a bug report, it would be appreciated. _____________________

I saw your message and the response. I wish they'd go ahead and break the joints instead of risking more of these snafus.

I've been getting around the no-jointing client limit by rezzing up old jointed objects. This no longer works. The objects explode apart with incredible force. Just look at these error messages:
[17:00] Second Life: Your object 'Object' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel 'Goguen Sandbox - Wiped @ 3 AM&PM PT, no shooting or selling ![]() [17:00] Second Life: Your object 'Object' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel 'Goguen Sandbox - Wiped @ 3 AM&PM PT, no shooting or selling ![]() [17:01] Second Life: Your object 'Object' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel 'Goguen Sandbox - Wiped @ 3 AM&PM PT, no shooting or selling ![]() After about 2 seconds, the object moved off-world to (1454020,2173960) which is about 2,615,392 meters away from me. So it blew up at about six times the speed of light.. |

FTL FTW.
Makes me wish I had a joined object (copyable of course) that I could watch explode. That'd be cool. |

So it blew up at about six times the speed of light.. Ouch. Imagine if the pieces were to hit someone on land without push restrictions. Try dragging them out and see if they continue to accelerate. |
