Why mess with something that worked just fine? Now I can't do a lot of things like I use to. Everything is overly laggy, even in the most bare of sims. My chat turns up black everytime I log in. I can't look at peoples profiles because I'll crash. Secondlife.. Get it together.. Update what needs to be updated, and don't jack around with features that work for us just fine to begin with.

Agreed.
This update crashes (literally) every few minutes if I try to IM someone, look up their profile, etc...
There are many other issues as well.
Preview testers, many of them, begged Linden NOT to release this version, but they did it anyway despite repeated requests not to.
I have no idea why Linden is being so anti-user on this one. It is blatant "in your face" forced updates and confusion for the masses even when they beg for slower change.
It is lost business for people. It is reboots, it is crashes. It is a continual nightmare that seems to never end.

They seam to have this uncotrolable urge to add new and sometimes pointless features before they work the bugs out of the last setof them... and then forget to remove those bugs either. Its not like I can see many real positives this time round anyway, and Judjing by the responce in the forums a lot of people are unhappy with this version. Hopefully this time they'll listen to the people and do soemthing about it.

People always complain "not enought new updates" "not enought features" " now) new updates take 2 long" ECT..... LL is trying to make something inovative here this type og game architecture has never really been done befor......i agree that somme stuff in this update should have been tested more but the only real issue i have are: 1) the Sensor script running on each region crossing 2) the focue not being kept where it should(IE using cam controles takes cursor from chat box ect...) 3) teleports and sim crossing seem to be slower(i'm sure that this is related to sensor script issue wich is being fixed as i type this) people need to understand that making a game like this is not like making a cake for your birthday theire is alot involed and scal hase something to do with it as well because once 3000 people are using htese new features the servers can get bogged down with the extra ammount of info being sent/received. So meny things can go wrong when u dealing with something on such a scale...think about it.......and the testing...all i have to say about that is that it's always the same people using the preview grid so say if always the same 500 people are testing and say that not half of them fil reports and make suggestions about new features LL might think that some of the incidents are isolated and not really a bug....but if 2000 people where to test(at least onece) and find bugs(even if only half do report it) then LL will realize that it is a bug and not just something isolated or just someone comlaining/greifing

I almost used the 1.11 preview, but why depress myself sooner than nessessary? There was a lot of bitching about the new snapshot on hte forums and it STILL got implemented (afterall, it wasn't a bug!). As for 1.12, I logged in went, "ok, what's new?" looked at the revisions list and thought, "So, nothing for me, the humble user who owns no land. Woo, I get new group features. Yum. Looks good." And quit.

The last update wasn't required, and it certainly didn't contain many (any?) features any player asked for...

If they bothered to read the forums for once they'd see the MANY complaints people have been listing... On the positive side the *thousands* of new bug reports per day and constant complaining to in-world lindens should hopefully wake them up to how Awful this update has been.

@Josef None of the things you describe are happening to me. If you want LL to fix your problem you have to work with someone, preferably a friend who lives nearby iRL, who is not experiencing those problems. You need to isolate the factors that cause the defects. LL will fix something once they know what is causing it. Instead of complaining, find those factors. If LL can't reproduce the problem, don't expect a fix. That's the way in all MMOGs. They are not being anti-user. Most users are not experiencing those problems. The likelihood is that LL cannot replicate your problems. You have to meet LL halfway on this. If the problem were universal then you don't have to do anything. But if the problem, like what you're experiencing, is happening to selected people, you need to exert effort and help LL find the cause.

There's only two things I think that we could have done without.. A) New Snapshot Feature B) That annoying fact you have to CLICK the chat bar if you were off in ur inventory or flying or w/e I was use to just typing after being in my inventory but now everything repops up or sends u flying cuz you're typing..always gotta click on the damn chat bar..(annoying as hell!)
