Avatar Deformity Since Update

Hi Guys,

Since the update, my Avatar is doing this totally weird thing: every so often, I'd say about every 5-8 minutes, her body suddenly bends over and her top 1/2 sinks into her bottom half! It is very disturbing to see. (LOL)

I relogged a couple of times which seemed to stop the problem for a little while, but it ultimately came back.

I filed a bug report and was even quick enough to catch this phenomenon in a photo for the report.

Is anyone else having this strange problem??

I've heard of it - but lag related other times. Have not experienced it for myself thankfully :) Did ya do the requisite clear cache thingy before logging out/back in? I should also mention that there is a "new" freeze in the new viewer that makes you pause from anywhere beterrn .5-5 seconds or so and then picks back up. Perhaps they're related. It happens every minute or so - sometimes more often.

Hi Gillian,

Yes, I did the clear cache and whatnot. My body problem seems to be resolving, but now I am seeing that freeze whatzit.

I love updates.

You can enter your information here. Also bug report it via Tools report bug and through Jira, which you can link to here.

Hi Gillian,

Thanks, but I have already filed two bug reports - one with a photo of the squashed body. Thanks though = )

I can confirm this. I too have had the "shove your head up your butt" bug increase from once every few weeks to several times per hour with the last update. And I use multiple computers and have seen it on all of them.

Well, mine has gotten a bit better. Not so much 'head up my butt' as that big, stupid pause every 5 minutes. Pain in my butt. ;)

I don't know if this is the thing that you are describing but, sometimes when I am shooting a gun and both of my avatar hands are on the handle.....my avatars legs stay completely still.....and my avatars top half spins around and goes up and down. It looks like my avatars spine broke right at the pelvis, my feet are glued to the floor, and my top half is flapping in the breeze while holding a gun.....lol.....It's rather freaky....

It's been happening sporadically since at least June-July, I'm sure they'll fix it, any day now :p.

I never did figure out what causes it, but the old "Clear Cache and relog" does actually work for this one :).
