And no one learnt anything from previous updates because?....

I took the night off being in SL.... it was a good time to catch up on some RL movies I'd been wanting to watch.. when I log back in 24+ hours later, the dust should have settled.... I'ts been a good method for the past couple of years.. nothing changes..

OH and looking at the forums during the day before I log back at night times, is another sure way to find out any potential issues before I get there.... might even watch another movie tonight...

If LL announced that the grid was back up.. and no one logged in.... lol... they might just wonder why... I can just see the mess for the cleaners in LL having to clean up all that sand from their head buckets...

I've learned to just write off Maintenance Wednesdays. If I get in fine.

If they don't fix it, people bitch.... They say "Fix bugs first! Don't add features!"

If they do fix it, people bitch.... They say "Stop fixing bugs! Get the grid up!"
Generally when people say "fix bugs" they mean "fix the *current* bugs".

When an update introduces a new bug that eventually gets fixed, SL hasn't actually improved over the way it was before the update: they fixed a bug, sure, but they also broke it when it wasn't broken in the first place.

You can fix 500 bugs, but if those bugs didn't exist 6 months back, then you accomplished nothing at all.

LL released a recent chart on the Blog, which showed the 'trend' of bugs in SL and those being fixed... 2 things emerged from the information supplied and remain unanswered to this day...

1) As the level of bug fixing proportions are much lower than the bugs appearing, does this mean things are going to get a lot worse, with no possible hope for the future?
2) The bugs being shown on the chart as being fixed, how old are those bugs and are they result of previous fixes?

Oh well..... just more bad PR that LL had to abandon?
