Not sure if this feature has been suggested but...
It would be nice if I could stop and start video streams on a parcel for myself only without doing it for the whole parcel (similar to audio streams).
Thanks!

This would be nice to have as an option in the preferences.
[X] Enable streaming video. For those users that have it disabled, they would see the texture that is mapped to the streams, instead of the stream itself. This would definately help those on slower PC, or with less than optimal connections. McW |

I've also noticed that the video stream audio keeps on playing even when you turn off Parcel streaming music, or mute SL's audio entirely trough the options. Seems like this is happening because Quicktime is the one in charge of doing the audio on this part.
Might be a good idea to include an option for setting the video volume/muting the movie when one is playing? |

Surely not having an option to turn off video is an oversight? I mean, who wants their bandwidth hogged by what will be mostly god awful videos. Not me, that's for sure. I want to be able to only enable it when I actually want to see a particular video.

If it's only done on a touch event that's great. |

video only starts on a touch event anyway.. ...in the Linden example. You could just as easily start it with a sensor, listen, et al. I agree there should be some way to disable/stop/restart any video stream from the client. _____________________

This sounds like an omission or a bug again. |

Agree wholeheartedly on this. I already fly about with streaming audio turned off, having to put up with streaming video will make it an order of magnitude worse. _____________________

Yes, I support this feature...
- Enabling video streaming from preferences. - Sound control for video. Also the following functions, which will probably come later... - llSetParcelMediaURL - llSetParcelMediaTexture(key texture) - resets the texture used for streaming video. _____________________
