Cheap video servers?

We offer private racks for high-bandwidth hosting such as video streaming. bandwidth transfer for a private rack is measured at the switch uplink to the network, rather than at each server's connection to the switch. For example, if you have 3 servers, each with a 1400 GB bandwidth transfer limit, your entire rack environment has a 4,200 GB monthly bandwidth transfer limit.

With standard dedicated server solutions, when servers work together on the public network, the data transferred between them will count against the bandwidth transfer of both servers. In a private rack solution, all transfers between servers in the same rack environment is unmetered.

With a private rack solution from The Planet, you won’t have to worry about network connection saturation. Instead of being limited to a 100mbps network connection on a 100mbps switch, we can deploy gigabit switches and gigabit uplinks in a private rack environment.
