I am still puzzled at the heated reaction against having the ability to choose between masking and not masking. :)

It's no *big* deal, but I'll default to my primary philosophy:

"If we have the capability of doing it without any LL work being done, it's low priority."
(That fits this case here, it doesn't allow us to do anything we can't do on our own with a little effort.)

That said, my secondary philosophy goes against that in this case:

"Give us options DAMMMIT!!! Optional plz! Improve the GUI design if using up too much space is the problem!"
(You're asking for an option! Good thing!)

BUT, since this change is already complete and LL made the silly decision NOT to make this optional...(???????????)--I think my primary rule which is based on: "Don't waste LL's resources when they could be doing something much much better." rules supreme.

BTW

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

So in conclusion, bashing feature suggestions on the forums is a good thing since LindenLab lacks the resources and/or capability to decide for themselves? :)

I don't agree that having alternative methods of getting a task done should remove it from discussion as an SL feature. That mentality would have eliminated many features we currently enjoy and take for granted (do we REALLY need in-game instant messaging when it can be done through a third party?).

I suspect a checkbox to mask/unmask the URL would not tap LL's resources all that much and it doesn't sound like a terrible idea to me. Just throw it on the request list and the Lindens can prioritize.

I could not disagree more, Miss Weber! 'Just' 'throwing' it on a request list takes up valuable Linden resources. Not only that, you want them to prioritize them as well! Just how many ListMaker Lindens do you think are out there at your beck and call? It's this kind of feted attitude that is exactly what is wrong with SL today. :(

Sorry Aimee. I'm really bored.

Ya work is just DRAGGING today. I sware to god the hands on that clock are moving backwards :(
