Temporary object rezzing problem

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have a shop on a low prim parcel (117), so in order to have display models of the items I sell I have pads setup that rez copies of the objects that are set as temporary. Prior to the update everything was working fine.

However, it now appears that the parcel is doing a check of available prims prior to rezzing the object and seeing if it temporary, and will not rez my 70 prim jetpack because there's only 40 prims free in the parcel. I get no messages since I'm not rezzing it..it just silently fails.

All of the other display pads are working fine, and I ran a test by filling up the parcel to only a few short of being totally full....and it would not rez the other display models until I cleared up enough space.

Is this something new and is intended, or is this a bug that other people are experiencing as well?

Yes I am having that issue as well. I assume it is a bug as it is not listed in the change log, but they did make several changes to how a parcel checks prim limits. So again I beleve it is a bug and should be reported as such.

i noted on the changes to prim listings on the land, that a new listing was said to exist now that quotes the temporary rez prims, in the changes listed by LL in this version. i suspect this will impact the temp rez scripts quite a bit. Wondering also now if they intend to make temp rez prims count as true prims on the land, was wondering if they'd figure out a way to make that happen eventually. :(

I had thought the whole point in temporary prims was so that they wouldn't count against the total prim count of the land, but I could be wrong.

It's not that huge of a deal anymore I guess because I'm wanting to move now anyway since every parcel neighboring mine has recently been bought out and ban lines are everywhere. I moved my shop up above the lines only to find out that there's a shitload of 'Teleport home' bots on these same lands with 0 warning against the TP.

I just mainly need to know if I'm going to have to account for these things in the future by leaving more prims free than my highest prim temp object that's rezzing.

This has somewhat destroyed* my store which is themed around the temporary objects being visible :) As DBDigital said, it isn't mentioned in the update log, so I have everything crossed that this is going to be fixed.

*Ok, mild exaggeration, but still. WAA!

In this thread Andrew Linden said the temp on rez limits are

temp_prim_limit = prim_limit - current_prim_count + min( 0.5 * current_prim_count + 400, 1000)

If this has been deliberately changed, it will break a whole lot of stuff pretty permanently.

Did you bug report this? If not, please do so.

Have done - and will attempt to get everyone I know to do the same, whether it bothers them or not :D

I have a few stores that are rezzing temp-rez prims just fine. However, my Grizedale store is having this problem. I've found that most of my temp-rezzing displays are actually rezzing the prims to the parcel, but they cannot be seen. This is really strange because I can stand on the temp-rezzed display and it looks as if I'm standing in mid air. ...and yes, I have bug reported it... twice now... second time with a photo of me standing in mid air.
