You missed my point - key phrase being "not ambiguous". Surely it is possible to create a scene wherein there is little or no doubt that there is a person being sexually assaulted. I'm not talking about what *might be mistaken* for rape, I'm talking about what is clearly and unambiguously, unmistakably a depiction of rape. Nobody said anything about banning all sex from Second Life. That would be silly. (And you're right, there would be a Resident revolt unlike anything the world has ever seen, and I'd march on the front line even though I don't do the sex thing).

You're missing my point.

ANY PICTURE OF SEX COULD BE A PICTURE OF RAPE. There's no way to tell. If you can separate pictures of sex from picture of rape on any visual basis, please tell, as then we can actually ban virtual rape instead of all sex--which residents won't stand for.

Now we're on the same page.

We need to define what constitutes "depiction of rape" before we can ban it. It's why the whole "anything broadly offensive" is such BS. There's no definition that everyone can point to and agree that THAT is one this side that THAT OVER THERE is on the other side.

I think we can be pretty unanimous that any RL photos that could be mistaken for rape (regardless of actual content) are definately on the "banned" side of things (same thing for child porn).

I think we can also be pretty unanimous that non-consentual sex doesn't exist in Second Life. There is not one way in which someone can force your avatar to do anything you don't want them to. And even if they do, you can report them for abuse.

Beyond that?
