All people are important, Jonas. And a person's importance to another is a subjective matter, anyway.

Welcome Back, Ulrika.

Very true Persophone..

this one person just isn't that big of a deal to me, and I guess its against my nature to single most people out

I'm just doing community service in my old group (N'burg) on an issue that I think is very important. Unfortunately for those who are bored with the current state of the forums (and they are quite boring), I'm still on hiatus (lurking) and will be for quite some time due to personal commitments. Until then ...

Even so, just a glimpse of your name is enough to excite me :) Glad to see you are still out there, ZugZug. You are missed.

Congratulations, you are now the third person on my ignore list.
Please read the forum guidelines on trolling. (and even title of this section 'notices and well wishes' that wasnt a kind 'well wish' jonas.)

We've never met, Ulrika, but Im always happy when active members on the verge of quitting decide to stay - or return after an absence. Hope you enjoyed your break.

Perhaps he was weighing the term "notices" more heavily than "well wishes" and interpreted the "notice" as a "warning". I know a few residents who did in the case of this thread.

You almost get off the hook for that kind of comment for not knowing what you are talking about at all. Since you haven't been around all that long, you might have missed all the great things she's done.

Her contributions since the beginning of animating for SL (ie the poser tutorial that has helped noobs for the past almost 2 years, the loads of freebie animations, and thriller video to name a few) alone far outweighs the trolling you do.

Good to see you back Ulrika, even if short lived. Don't let the venom spewing here keep you away too long. This place really needs you back.

Welcome back Ulrika!

I'm QUITE happy she is back. Vituperative quill or not, she's a fascinating read.

Since she has been gone, I'm up three sims and the only thing that held me back from a fourth was the $L to USD 30 day cashout limitation (yes I already applied for biz tier 1). So good sim government is now a *significant* issue with me.

I'd be fascinated to hear her take on my stumbling attempts at good sim government with Caledon's 'rotating' monarchy. Or whatever precision governmental term she would use to define it.

In fact, Ulrika, if you come lurking through here, please send me an IM, I've got one major question.

Now that there are tools enabling significant sim capabilities (granting of sim control to others, and so forth) - would those be granted to specific chairs in the Neualtenburg government?

Ulrika is no longer qualified to answer this question, not being a current member of Neualtenburg.

Currently, we have no formal law regarding who specifically should be an estate manager, but it is understood that certain aspects are applicable to all three branches. Thus, we currently have the head of the Guild (Sudane Erato), the head of the Scientific Council (Gwynneth Llewellyn), and the head of the RA (Claude Demoulins) and myself as estate managers, with my own essentially being the role of a technical adviser, and part of the Guildmaster's power of delegation, since I am currently an active member of the RA, and an inactive member of the other two branches. Various other approaches have been proposed, but for the time being, this informal approach has been given the okay by the SC.

Well this thread has some cheers, personal bitching, some one is muted, a meta discussion about this forum, a off topic request and a climpse of a political dispute going on somewhere else.
Back with a bang, you would almost say. But she isn't even really back. :p

*Slides up to Ulrika*
Hey, how are you doing?

Good call, Gabe, but you missed the post where it turned out I had been overdosing on my medications and hallucinating, and not just pissed off because I was unhappy the way the government I created was taking on a life of its own, consequently going against the utopian "me-in-charge" vision I had.
