Stipend Demonstration--a volunteer opting out

As many LL employees who frequent the SL forum must know by now, there is a grass roots movement developing to offer residents the opportunity to voluntarily opt out of receiving their weekly stipend.

This effort is the result of our belief that there is a significant imbalance between sources of new money and sinks. It is one major issue, of several, that need to be addressed to help stablize the economy for long-term growth and prosperity.

I will not bore you with the details--but I suggest that you read the thread only if you have insomnia!

We have organized a Linden (L$) "burning" party to be held at the place and time below. The two thread links give more details.

We would appreciate a representative of LL to be in attendance if possible. This demonstration will be civil.

Location: Governor Linden's Mansion, a Sec, Clementina (182, 110, 61)
Day: Each Tuesday (well, I guess it is already Tuesday in Europe. So everything will be based on EST)
Time first group: 9 am EST
Time second group: 9 pm EST

Let me just say, Bloop, the ideas you've been cooking up and following through with (harder done than said!) are really engaging. It really gives spark in the community. You have a fascinating way of looking at things.

I have heard stirrings of this grassroots movement, but not observed an organized effort thus far--sure looks like something is afoot, tho!

Nice to see you've included two timezones too. One suggestion, however: I see the times are listed in EST; I almost misread them as Pacific time, which is Second Life Time. You may want to list happenings in SLT in the future. ^_^
