I can't post to the Blog, but I can lay it out for you here:

Cosider this: could you not be a force against what you despise? Is it possible that *you,* panda, are part of this metaverse for a reason? If you are even considering an affirmitive answer to this question, if you can envision a 'reason,' don't you think it would be a good idea to reconsider leaving SL? I am not saying this for selfish reasons, although I would miss the hell out of you, kid; I am asking these questions in hopes that you might see the good you do here. 'Doing good here'--what a phrase. Does it seem as if you are feeding your energy and time and creativity into a tremendous vacuum? Sometimes, it feels that way to me, but what would happen if that time and creativity and energy actually helped someone else, someone half-way round the world? Would that be worth it? What if you could change someone's mind? Change a person's thinking?

If you choose to stay gone, please, please take the very best care of yourself. <hugs>

think it over

sl reflects life more than people realize. Racistism is everywhere. The way to fight it is not to run from it, but face it full front. I wish you would reconsider, there are alot of people who believe race, color and religion should be respected. If you saw my real family and friends at a picnic, you would smile, i am sure. :)

I think Panda's point is if SL wasn't asleep at the wheel and banned this person before maybe this wouldn't have happened. Although I don't think the "racist" stuff was worth banning since I didn't really find it racist, but that is beside the point.

Panda's mac using ass isn't going anywhere and this thread is a waste of bandwidth. :)

Dear LL and Second Life Residents,

Apparently..

Racism = okay
Crashing Sims = not okay

Glad everyone has their priorities straight.

Second Life is an absolute failure, and I can't be a hypocrite and support it with my participation anymore.

For everyone who I <3, drop me an email and I will stay in touch!

Stay classy Second Life! :)

also, please relax with the exclamation points.

Judge,

Profound words for a newbie.

Perhaps you should read the original posting again. Many of us were upset for the same reason.

When you get back, look me up and we'll do one of those 'oh shit, look at me, I'm back' things. :)

Many of us didn't "leave second life" and post a tread on it so that the whole world could feel sorry for us.

first of all, thanks. that WAS profound, wasn't it? Second of all, manu of us may have been upset, but many of us didn't "quit" second life and post a thread about it so the whole world could publicly mourn our departure. Oh, and by the way, reading the original posting did nothing for your argument. Sorry :(

Well, if he HADN'T posted the thread, I wouldn't have known about his departure!

So it's not quite fair to posit other, less honorable motives for telling people that you are leaving other than . . . telling people you are leaving.

That said, many times other things are going on in a person's life that make playing less fun, and sometimes something happens in the game that is just the last straw, of all the various things going wrong in the game (and we all have some, lots of the time). So you get rid of at least one bummer in your life.

So when things get better in other areas, that person often comes back. I hope Pandastrong comes back! Course, I myself might not be around by then.
