How can you compare this with Shingles? It is not a sexually transmitted disease, in fact it isn't a disease at all, it is a virus, a virus as well known as the chicken pox, there is nothing you can do to prevent it.. I think you need to grow the fuck up and go back to school.

Sensual, with all due respect...I read a lot of threads, but rarely respond because of how time conduming one converstation tends to be. I have seen many of your posts and you really have issues concerning MadamG and I think you need to stop making public accusations. Actually Sensual, it IS chicken pox... or at least what it turns into when you've killed that off. It's not normally contagious, but if your kids haven't had chicken pox, they may catch that from you. Fortunatelly, it's pretty easy to treat, but unpleasent for the patient.

afaik it continues to live on in the body and can resurface (or not) depending on various factors (like stress) periodically throughout your lifetime.

Shingles is an unpreventable condition that can come many many years after an attack of chicken pox. It's easily treated but for the months that you have it (usually 2-6 months ... compare that with 3 weeks of chicken pox) it is extremely painful. The pain of chicken pox usually runs only a few days, the rest is quarantine.

Chicken pox was painful enough, thank you. I hope I never get shingles.

I would advise a bit more sensitivity next time.
