Palomma,

I to understand the frustration of giving a lot of time and energy to something, only to hear massive complaints. I also wanted to thank you for being such great friend, designer and retailer. I look forward to our continued friendship and our continued business relationship.

I'm really sad to hear that you've had such a difficult time. The show you put on for us in Chaos was professionally run, excellent, and so very enjoyable. The best show I have ever been involved with. I hope everything gets better soon.

Tabloids? I guess I don't get out enough. But then I'm not much interested in yellow journalism.

I feel the things that has been said about Palomma and Dove is Sad and unfair! Palomma is one of the nicest people in Second life. She worked hard to build Dove to give unknown designers a chance to show their work. She also worked with the lindens in ways to cut the lag down at Dove. For those who want to blame lag on Palomma, Know this, Palomma is not the cause of lag problems in the game. Every player in this game who owns land and has built a house on it, did you not furnished it? Then why is it wrong for Palomma to furnish her modeling studio? Dove was Palomma's baby and she only tried to glamorize it to mimic real life.

In reading the article that was written about Palomma, the writer said Palomma was crying for attention. The truth is, I read a Bully who just wanted to belittle her. He took content of Palomma's words and posted them with his own interpretation which seriously showed jealousy and envy. I guess writing poorly of Palomma was a way to make a tiny bully feel big.

Palomma, I just want you know know that You have friends here in second life and we all know you are a very kind and caring person. Please don't ever think you are alone because you're not. I Salute you and Dove!

When everything comes straight down to the facts in this whole mess, Palomma "tried" to run Dove like a RL Modeling agency. In RL, her agency would have been written about just as well as in here. Differences are of course was the lag, no Palomma, it was not "You" that cause the lag at Dove, it was the loads of laggy vendors "You" let be there amongst other factors out of anyones control. All fashion shows running right now have lag, but none compaired to the lag in the old Dove. The new Dove had "normal" lag in my opinion. And "normal" lag noone can get past, so it is noones fault. But remember YOU are/were the "leader" of the group, so if people are having issues, yes they will come to you and exspect YOU to make them right. Even tho YOU cannot fix lag, people think YOU should take the steps to try to reduce it. That is how a business works, the "Boss" gets the blame. This is nothing new. People talk about others being a bully, well see it as you will, but it only stresses the fact when people speak the truth, most cannot handle it. This of course does include Palomma and her friends that have been lucky not to see the nasty side of her. Bust sadly, alot have. Am I sad she left Dove? ummm, no. Am I suppose to be? As I remember, this IS a game, and if you cannot handle the "GAME" hit the red X at the top right and take a break. I do hope that is what Palomma does, take a break, and hopefully she will return the person she used to be, nice, careing, smiling. Not the strung out, paranoid "Everyone is coping MY ideas" , you will work for ME and noone else person she became. Ohh and for the record, she only "tried" to force a few people to leave thier other groups, but I noticed when those select few told her to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, she decided to walk a different path. That is my opinion. Like it or not. If you do not like it, then do not post the sappy" I am leaving slowly from SL" post at the beggining of this thread, yet turn around a few posts later and say you are NOT leavingand telling people to stop lieing when the dang crap starts from YOUR mouth. Also, I have yet heard of 1 agency jealous of Dove, frankly, I hear the opposite, as do alot of people. Being in Dove is the most stressfull thing I have been involved in, and YES this is an alt, cause I like ALOT of the Dove models, will not stand up and take a stand with their own names hanging out there for everyone to see. Thank you Palomma, I needed the break from you too.

 < --- To Wes.... what a shame... but I respect your opinion... whoever you are, have fun, we all deserve a break

You lied all this time whoever you are? Pretending you were someone you are not? hmm what a shame... Althought I know who you are but will keep it.

I have no idea why you stayed in the group if you dislike it that much... I didn't obligate you or made you stay, you could of left the group, right? When you don't like something you leave.

I suppose you liked so much you didn't leave until I closed...

And you know what I had "laggy vendors" as you put it? Didn't you think those designers that had "laggy vendors" as you called them were there because I gave them the opportunity to sell at my place for free so they can make money for themselves? Unbelievable... but ok, think whatever makes you happy

Again... I am not leaving...You didn't read right...

Slowly leaving maybe, depends how I feel, never changed what I said .... I am enjoying other things I do in RL, once I am in a game, I don't totally leave because I treasure the people I meet, and come back to them

Palomma you crack me up, calling me names just like you do to people who would fall over backwards for you, yet want to explore more in the modeling business in SL. I got this alt mostly, and resently, so I could build inworld and not be bothered, funny how so many people can use an alt, yourself included, yetwe are the bad guys. And do not try to tell me you do not use an alt, cause I know for FACT you do. And there is nothing wrong with it, it help busy people take a break while still in game and not be bothered by countless IM's, and yes, you get those countless ones too. You THINK you know who I am, but, I could bet ALL the money I ever thought of having in my life time, cause you would be wrong. I stayed in the group, cause it USED to be great, I so, as did alot of people whom I spoke to, wished your own demons would go away so Dove would be great again. You let 1 model leave and start her own business get to you so much, it led to your trying to make us exclusive,(which I was anyways) always accusing people and companies they were jealous of you. Telling people how this person or that person decieved you cause they moved on. How this was copied or that was copied. Man who cares, if you are copied{pieces of notecard} be happy, you must have done something right. You are not original Palomma, like you claim, only reason, people in SL did it befor you. And now, some of those same groups, are still here, and the stress you let people put on you, you failed. Plain and simple.

Please, take your break. Find your, we will just say smile again. Because it is long gone.

*hugs* Palomma!

I remember when you were modeling for me when I hosted fashion shows for others. You were always one of my best. And I remember being so excited for you when you started DoveVogue (and regretful that I didn't have more time to help you with the startup). But I was not really needed, you did a wonderful job. I heard many great things and was very proud of you. You should be proud of yourself as well! :)

Everything doesn't always go as we plan though. And while I do not know the ins-and-outs of the issues you and others delt with involving DoveVogue, I hope that many good times were had and I am glad the community got to experience what DoveVogue had to offer while it lasted.

Take your break, I know personally they can do a world of good. And I look forward to seeing what you do in the future! *hugs*

I find it sad that this Westy got on here and blasted you as you are walking out the door, I find it even more sad that he has good advice about hitting the red button and leaveing when it gets to be to much and obviously he should have done that rather than become so bitter which he sounds very much bitter.

Sad more that he hides behind a alt to speak his mind. Is a hypocrit in his advice he should obviously be taking for himself. Paranoid? I would be to if my friends started making alts to talk behind my back, never knowing who it is that is doing it in this cowardly way. Personally your remarks hold 0 weight as anyone right in what they say does not hide behind there alts to say it.

I am really upset about this and could go on, but -I- choose not to as I am not bitter and its really not worth the effort.

Palomma no one can take what you did away from you. You started something that everyone admired and so many wanted willingly to be a part of. I wish you well. You have been nothing but kind to me.

Perhaps after a break and yes we all need them from time to time, perhaps you can come back refreshed and be even better than before! If not the important thing is to have fun dont forget that and ignore the negative, to many are negative to easily hiding behind there computers and alts.

Westy, I am original in my thoughts... I mentioned I was inspired by many in SL, such as Mistress Midnight and Torrid, LeCadre owners (Sen and Asri) and Pendari who did modeling and have their agencies or did fashion shows, also Typsi... It is obvious I was not the first one, but I did my own things and my own things should be respected. I love the modeling field and fashion and mix my experiences in RL with virtual, nothing wrong with that.

We get inspired from wonderful people and that is allowed as I hope many got inspired with me. I succeded because I am sure somehow I brought many good times, good encounters and meetings as you read. You stayed in group all this time, you loved it because you told me many times, well, I am glad you laugh, it is nice to see a smile.

I like bringing smiles by helping others. You know well I help many new people because I enjoyed it and I know you do too. It is fun to help newbies isn't it?

I know who you are because I stay alone with my alt lol, I can count who knows the name (2) lol you are right, nothing wrong in having an alt, it is good to escape and breath at times and explore, as long as you stay alone and dont meet and lie to others or accused others behind the fake face. Build and create alone. You already doing something wrong, expressing yourself that way about me in forums and not showing who you are.

The bad thing about all this, I trusted you, but now I realized that we can't trust just anyone in the virtual game. The one next to you at all times, could be your worst enemy.

However I can read well who the real ones are. Thanks for the kind words, I will be here, just going to learn more building and designing, teach newbies and who knows script. I know some of you will miss DoveVogue, me too, I really enjoy the modeling. I had to close so I REALLY take a break. I am not destroying what I have.

Wes....Just let me enjoy my break would you?, please enjoy yours, it is all I asked. Maybe IF and only IF I come back you will be the first one down the DoveVogue runway again...

My Thoughts Like They Matter..
07-05-2005 16:52
Well first off I am still sad that Dove Is Done, I have had alot of great times there and will always remember it, It Was Great! I want to thank all the designers, and Of Course Palomma for letting me be apart of it... I will miss all my fellow models, and all the great friends I have made being apart of it. Thank You.

Secondly, Come on People... If Palomma wants to run her place a certain way. NOBODY, should question that, cause DoveVogue is hers. If she wants blueberries all over the floor, NOBODY, should question that. It was hers and she has that right. To Bitch And Cry And Whine, only shows how stupid and childish you are. Have you ever heard of the saying? "If you dont have nothing to say, dont say anything at all"

And Last, if any of you dont know this, this has been coming along time, way before the "noobie" so-called "Journalist's" starting writing there terrible researched one-sided articles. Way before other models left to start their own company. So dont flatter yourself thinking you ran her off. She has been doing this a year, and is tired, like anyone can get. And if she wants to bitch after you say something bad about her, So Be It. She has that right, it doesnt make her a mean person cause she stands up for herself.

Palomma, I remember the day you spoke of, our early days in SL. Two newbies excitedly discussing all the possibilities SL had to offer. My dream was simply to have a nice art studio for creating sculpture and paintings plus a gallery to sell my creations in. Your dream, much more enthusiastic than mine, you wanted the best of the best for designing, and helping along the raw talent which permeated this place in the beginning. I watched you, albeit mostly from a distance, soar to great heights to the top of the fashion industry here. You are still on top Palomma, and maybe its good to leave things there. Take your break, and reinvent yourself from this experience. With this door closing, I'm sure there is already light sneaking in from that door ahead that is opening. Keep in touch with this old gringo amigo of yours, and drop by the gallery sometime. ¡Buena suerte a usted mi amiga!
