To all the denizens of Midnight City, a big thank you for spot in your sim for the last year. It was an incredibly generous thing to have offered and helped a noob like me get on her feet and get some exposure when I was starting out.

The first Barnes Boutique opened its doors in midnight city last year thanks to the generosity of the City Girls, could not have asked for a better starting location. It was an honor to be there and a part of an SL landmark. Thank you for all the help geting started and funtimes/memories - and many more to come in the new incarnation of Midnight city!

Wow! not the response I expected! but thank you guys :) and for those who didn't know- we're restructuring MC due to some lag issues and to bring more 'activities' rather than a strict shopping sim :) - A little plan hatched by Aimee, Torrid, Launa, and myself. There will still be a handfull of stores, for those who call MC our main location, but overall look forward to seeing a lot of fun stuff to do! - Including the exploratorium, Radioradio, and Secondcast!
...and Perhaps Beach Bocce Ball! - - you'll see!

MIDNIGHT CITY 2
This time...it's PERSONAL!

Actually there won't be so much of a drastic overhaul as an evolution of Midnight City.

The original mission for MC was to provide free store space for Second Life's most talented up-and-coming designers. At the time this was a great deal as SL business was small and sim ownership was rare. Today, however, most of the big designers own their own sims making Midnight City less essential to their business plans. When we combine the change in business climate with the horrendous lag problems MC has suffered, the future of Midnight City became clear.

The familiar skyline that has pratically become a flagship look for Second Life will remain in tact. But the new focus for Midnight City will be to promote high performance for live events, games, culture, and education. Mistress has already listed some of the activities that are already happening in Midnight City and there will be many more.

We are all very excited about the future and I hope you guys are too.

I would like to thank Aimee Weber for finally allowing the black sheep of the Midnight family to actually have a store in Midnight City after being ostracized by the evil Midnight overlords, even if it was in the bad part of town by the military recruiting office and Hiro's outlet store. <3

pfft..wanna see tha bad part of town come down by my and Dezzy's places near the docks!

Minight City is one of the sims that really impressed me as a new user. That combined with people like Vulpine Eldrich who showed me around some of the fun things to do in SL made me decide to get a landowning account instead of a freebie one.

Can't wait to see the new Midnight city. and wonder if there will be a way to rent an apartment there?

Thank you Midnight City. You were my first hom in SL. I hung around your rooftops starting and ending every SL adventure there until I found a home.
