Ok, I was seriously thinking about this for along time. I hope you guys join in. Ok, so anyway, the group is called the SLTS (Second Life Transit System) which is like bus driving and that kind of stuff... Im willing to look for some good textures people, maybe a few good builders/scripters and some people to help me get things straight (basicly, commanding (officers,etc). Yea, so if anyone wants to join or has any ideas/opinions, please post! Thanks...

P2 I am a Special needs attendant for a sped bus / Monitor for big busses , you have NO idea the stress and hard work us bus drivers/attendants have to Endure during the day. what WE do is real life, have any kids?.. What I meant was that bus drivers in rl serve a useful and valuable role helping people get from one place to another. No such need truly exists in SL. We can all fly; there is P2P teleporting; what is the purpose of establishing a mass transit system? Sorry if I offended. That wasn't my intent; I just can't imagine the need for such a thing, nor that anyone would think it was fun driving a bus all over a virtual world (not even taking into consideration the issues with sim crossings and such). I have ridden many a rl bus in my time, and gotten to know several drivers. Not a one of them ever said, "Oh, it's so much fun driving this bus around." A couple of them expressed that it was tedious work, and that when it was over for the day, they looked forward to going home and relaxing. Why would someone want to bring their rl job that makes them feel that way into their Second Life? That's all I meant. P2 _____________________

I do apologize wholeheartedly to all those who drive buses and/or are interested in the group proposed in this thread. There might not be a need for mass transet in SL... but things like guided buss tours and party busses could be fun.
You could gather with friends and move around together. Maybe even a club hop together as a group.... or go to museums.. whatever. |
