From: Herry Maltz Im about ready to, but ive been dealing with this for over a year, and i was here during beta and im just at the end of my rope. So are most of my good pals that are completely sick of having to update their gadgets each update, or sick of losing their update servers, or having to redo update servers, or in my aspect, dealing with having my objects fly all over the place because the build window is all screwy, or how about the fact i cant finish buildings because my inventory has no icons, has my folders but they are all empty, or how about the fact i just had to refund three different contracts money due to being late as it is on projects, yesterday i was able to get on for a whopping hmm, half hour, then one of the other nights idid work, came back and it was all gone, im just sick of it and so are most of the people ive talked with.
As we speak i enjoy my textures not showing properly and snapshot crashes which has made me have to use fraps for screenshots, which is just GREAT. Same thing happened to me, I left for about 5 months. Came back to a bit better conditions (livable this time), then this new update comes in and then.... BOOM same type of lag as when I left. God I hate this, LL stop making new "Bells and Whistles" and fix the 7 million bugs you got! From: Tren Neva If it makes you feel better Herry Maltz, I'm not having any problems in SL. I'm sorry you are having such problems. I'm sorrier that there are people who want to rub it in. They should be glad it's not them, and not tempt fate by making rotten comments about what is happening to you.

From: Vares Solvang I curious as to why you felt the need to post all this here? Perhaps because LL tends to ignore everyone but their cheerleaders and the AK's that post on the forum? Because they try to isolate folks having problems to make it look as if its a tiny handful or just one guy? I for one am glad he posted. Shows me some of the things I am seeing are not my imagination or the imagination of a few of my friends, like LL would like us all to think. Right after their last wonderful patch, FOUR of my 8 vendors (all identical) just outright disappeared...one right before my eyes and right after I checked to make sure it was not temp on rez or anything screwy (it wasn't). The best I could get from a Linden in chat was 'No one else has had this issue, please bug it', which I KNOW was a lie....sorry, forgot businesses call that damage control or spin...because a friend of mine reported items of his disappearing TO THE SAME LINDEN NOT 10 MINS BEFORE I DID! |

From: Ctarr Huszar Did you try calling Linden Labs on the phone?...I had a problem once that live help nor bug reports could help - so I called LL and actually got some help. Just a suggestion.
I know updates can be extremely upsetting esp when you get a direct hit of bad bugs. The items being return to owners by others just scares the crap out of me knowing how long and hard it took me to build what I have and I am hoping LL will find a fix.
If your inventory is missing and no response from Bug Reports or Live Help - give them a call. A live voice carries over alot better than anything else. If your call isn't to your satifaction - ask to speak to that persons manager and keep doing so till you get your stuff back.
good luck! Unless I ask for a specific person or persons I know will help, when I call Linden suport I usuallyt get called a liar, and stupid then hung up on in short order. |

FYI, I met Herry years ago on another 3D Chat which shall remain nameles. HE is one of very few in SL that when he says he is going to do something he DOES mean it. He's a good guy and a pretty bad loss if he does leave. |

I'm about 1 update away from Tiering down and calling it quits as well. When I'm having to spend more time WORKING and RUNNING a shop than having FUN in here. I may as well go back to my 1ST LIFE.
2nd Life is supposed to be about having FUN. Where is the fun in having to REDO stuff on a weekly basis because someone at LL can't seem to get it that we don't want NEATO new things that only screw us up 3 days out of the week.
We want something STABLE, TO MUCH to FAST and not well enough tested. Time to fire the Q&A folks and some coders if they can't understand that.
FIX what's NOT working, don't keep loading in NEAT NEW STUFF!!

I hate to see you go Herry. I just visited your shop and it was nice. Why don't you just hang around awhile to see what hapens with SL? Maybe Linden Labs can pull themselves out of this hole they have dug themselves in.

My heart goes out to you. I don't think you deserve the crappy attitude your getting from some of the people here and I'm sorry to see it. If all of my hard work had disappeared from inventory and i couldn't stay in SL without crashing constantly I would be pretty upset too. I understand how frustrating it is when you keep dealing with the same problems and new updates dont help or even make things worse.
Perhaps, you can keep your account alive though? Scale back to basic and try back in the future. I know many people who are frustrated by some bugs, but we can all function, create and our inventory is fine, so perhaps if it is worth the investment to you, you can upgrade video card or something? Dont shoot me, I know LL likes to blame people's systems when things are squirelly, but in this case is it possible? Are other people experiencing this sort of extreme problems?
