Cottonteil: There is nothing to be done about this. It's just bad luck that people can intercept textures being processed by their video cards. Don't publish anything in Second Life that you want to remain uncopied. If you want to claim ownership of textures, document their creation outside the grid BEFORE you upload them. Your court cases have nothing to do with Linden Lab.
Jarod: No, it's not against the TOS in any way. You've not hacked the client or the servers. Mind you it's not very wora'uldly of you to place automated avs on the landscape ergo the capabililty will likely be intentionally broken as soon as someone finds it an amusing day's work.
