First Land - How Where?

I am also trying to buy first land. Although there are many 512sqm plots, most of them are L$2000+ and not the L$512 that they are supposed to be, presumably because they have been bought up by profiteers cheating the system somehow or by people getting a discount on their monthly charges by donating at least one 512sqm plot to a group when they buy larger plots.

This is, I feel unfair to those of us who are trying to get into Second Life building and posibly setting up businesses for everyone's benefit (not to mention greater user experience).

This does not enable those of us who are not too technically competent on SL technology yet, to try out our ideas and is I feel a very negative aspect as it is stopping me and others like me from taking the next logical step in the SL experience.

This is not how SL sells itself on secondlife.com.

Is anything going to be done to redress this issue?
