What this forum is for:
Questions of broad interest to the community. For example, asking about a policy clarification, or bringing an important issue to our attention which slipped through the cracks. It's a great idea to read previous Q&A to get a better feel. Before you post, ask yourself: "Would it benefit the Second Life experience for many?"
Real, live Lindens are listening and responding personally!
What this forum isn't for:
Urgent, grid-wide problems - We probably already know about it, hang tight! Announcements will be broadcasted inworld, posted on the blog (yes, it's a great place for info!), and communicated via other channels. Ask friends to assure it's not just you.
Region performance problems - If you know how to read sim stats and find abnormal slowdowns that persist, please let a Linden Liaison know using Help menu > Live Help at the top of the screen. Give details of your observations, they'll aid our Developers with investigating. If you're eligible for Concierge support, please contact the Concierge directly.
Support requests and technical issues - Please use the Support page to get help! This includes billing, "lag", "can't login", "is SL down?", inventory loss, and other issues which require account-specific care. We also have Technical Talk forums, frequented by your fellow Residents (Lindens check here occasionally). In Second Life, you can use the Help menu, including F1 Help.
Feature feedback and suggestions - We've got Feedback forums for these. Don't let good ideas get lost, use the Feature Voting Tool to "be the change". If a feature proposal gets 500+ votes, it's guaranteed a Linden comment.
Bug Reports - See our Known Issues list and learn more about bug reporting. Inworld, use Help menu > Report Bug with a clear, step-by-step reproduction. We also use the Beta Test Grid to preview future features and fixes.
Abuse appeals - Explain your situation and why you believe you shouldn't have been disciplined to [email=abuse-manager@secondlife.com]abuse-manager@secondlife.com[/email]. Don't expect a reply unless the appeal was successful.
Duplicate and similar posts will be merged so we can track 'em easier, posts which belong in other forums will be moved, and rants and redundant complaints will be deleted to encourage a friendly and useful atmosphere. Repeated misuse of Linden Answers will result in posting privileges being removed. Forum guidelines apply.

You can't reply here. This is a post-only forum. If a Linden requires more info, they may ask you to contact them personally. We also have Resident Answers for general Resident-to-Resident help.
Hot issues can't all be replied to individually here, but we love to communicate about them on our Official Linden Blog. So chances are good if there's a stack on the same topic, we'll do followup soon. Plus, the blog allows for comments and further discussion.
Questions which are fresh, eclectic, insightful, and add to our existing knowledge base get top priority. Please also search to see if your question's been answered before--it saves your time and ours. If it has been, it probably won't be answered. We read everything here but due to time constraints, we won't answer the same question many times. Our Knowledge Base has a wealth of info, some compiled from what's previously been asked here.

How to search this forum for answers:
- Go to the Search Forums page.
- Where it says "Search in Forum(s), select "Linden Answers".
- In the "Search by Key Word" box, enter your terms. For more comprehensive matches, click the pop-up menu below that box and choose "Search Entire Posts". (Note that some common words like "land" and "money" won't work because of database load.)
- Customize the other options as you wish; setting "Show Results as" to "Posts" will display a snippet of the actual message.
- Press the "Search Now" button to see your results. Voila!
