There has been quite a bit of complaint rencelt about the Wed. downtimes. A lot of grumbling has also been about the new downloads. So I was thinking the other day;
Would it be possible to post the upcomming client for download on Monday or Tuesday?
Though this wouldn't reduce downtime on LL's end, it would on the user's end by allowing them to pre-download the client at their leisure (i.e. while at work, or when they go to bed). Not to mention that this provides the customers with a choice, and empowers them to better manage the disruption that occurs Wed.
Just a question/suggestion.

 Good news: we're updating our release schedule to happen once every TWO weeks, meaning less interruptions. You'll want to keep an eye on the Official Linden Blog for more details. But you know what, I've actually been looking for a way to automate the client download on Wed. morning, so you're onto something. _____________________
