Online/Offline Indicators not making sense

Is this an acknowledged bug? This is a weird, intermittent problem, that me and my SL friends have observed:

1) Sometimes when someone is indicated as online on the web friends page, they are not online in SL. Even when you IM them to confirm they're offline they still show up as online on the web page.

2) Sometimes in SL when you IM someone it will indicate they are offline and then immediately indicates they are online.

3) Sometimes people online in SL will have their messages directly sent to their e-mail boxes, even in the middle of an IM conversation that seems perfectly normal.

4) Offline IM's showing up on login but not in e-mail, and vice versa.

5) Sometimes someone will logoff and it will still indicate they are online within SL. When you message them they go offline immediately, then appear online again with a second.

Any clues? --g

Ah yes! One of our concerns at the moment. These are called "presence" bugs... think of this way:

"Are you here? Are you not?" just like being online and offline. And the system gets confused... you may wish to peruse some past threads on this such as:

But, in any case, we are working to find solid reproductions for some of them, and get them fixed! Already, some have.

Please keep watching Known Issues & Development Updates for further details.

Thank you.
