I have been unable to log in for the last 15 minutes. This is after a successful login, but my avatar was invisible. I logged off and now each time I try to log in I get the message that my login failed ... and that I will not be able to log in until a time ... about ten minutes into the future.

Im getting the same message and its telling me to log back in at a certain time, and when I do, the log-in fails and tells me another time to log in on O.o; same thing then.

Same problem here...
It gives me a time for when my account will be available again, and when that time comes, it pushes it back further about 5 minutes...

Greetings! I too just received that same message. I tried logging in a few times..finally got back in.

This has happened once before. Can someone Please tell us why we get this error message? Thanks! Makes me feel like Ive done something wrong.

I just watched a friend log out and her av stayed in game for at least 10 to 15 mins, this is after having teh same issues of not being able to rezz clothing, attach anything and i was invisible for at least 10minutes. Apparently there is a server issue going on that the Lindens are looking into. I guess its a game of patience now guys =]

almost the same thing with me it wont let me log in period for like a week this has been going on! SL people need to fix what ever is happening plzzzz

I've experienced this too: there are some "presence" bugs that don't detect your correct online status responsively. As a result, it gives you that message saying "Login failed." and that your account will be available at a later time. Usually, you shouldn't be stuck for more than several minutes. Some have been stuck for hours, tho, and in the case that you do, please feel free to email me... [email]torley@lindenlab.com[/email] so we can take a deeper look.

If you crash hard out of SL or sometimes, if a region goes down in an unpredictable way, you will be locked out for longer too.

There are also some previous threads on this, as it's been a concern since 1.9.0 was released.

Sometimes you may want to click a link like this to start SL in a quiet place:

secondlife://Plum

and see if you're still "invisible" (just means you haven't fully loaded).

The informal term for it is being "wedged".
