Having entered in to what is a partnership i find it frustrting that my partner has no control over my property other than the token 'can modify' efforts. 2L partnerships for many are a marraige and want to share property as well as the 'love'. Also when a partnership enters into the world of commerce only one befits financially as we cant have joint accounts in 2L, and a group is not the answer. I can hear the opponets yelling she/he will pinch my money but having a joint account is no more dangerous than many other 2L and RL risks we take everday. One could also validly argue that the present setup is very male orientated - very little equallity.

We are continuing to move on a road towards what you suggest.

If you've been watching, there are pieces coming together for your benefit and enjoyment.

There's an upcoming overhaul of the Groups system which allows for 2-person groups, as well as greater control over property options and many other "Actions" (the ability to do things within a group). It's designed with greater flexibility in mind, so you can be as equal or inequal in a group as you want--depending on who the Owner or Owners are.

More info in Kelly Linden's post here, as well as other past SL Answers:

Group L$ will have more improvements too--joint accounts specifically have not been implemented yet, but we do know this is important for various relationships, including intimate and business ones.

All the best in your Second Life and Love. <3
