Do we have any idea when the land sales listings are going to be fixed so that rental properties stop showing up at rediculously cheap sale properties? This was addressed by a proposal, and acknowledged and 'in development', but nothing has been mentioned of it since.

It affects the majority of the SL land buying (and selling) residence because:

a) (affects on sellers) Now that the price you paid for your land has been removed in About Land people many have forgotten how much they paid. By looking at the land listings, the top two pages are < 1L/sqm so some people think that's the going rate and selling their land at rediculously low prices often screwing themselves out of ALOT OF MONEY!

b) (affects on sellers) People selling their land fair market value are having to compete with fraudulently listed prices that do not reflect the sales market value. When I say fraudulent, I mean that a estate "SALE" property of 2048M for 1000L is NOT infact land FOR SALE.

c) (affects buyers) Because of these fraudulent SALE prices, less experienced buyers are getting taken on what they believe to be a sale, only to find out the price they paid is for one week's RENT. I've spoken to several outraged residence who I had to explain how this worked. You can argue they should read the covenant, yes, your right.. but in the day of endless click-wrap licenses, not everyone is observant (or patient) enough to actually read them.

Please tell me this is going to be addressed soon!

Seems the only ones that get answers are silly questions (Phillip's car anyone?), and off the wall topic titles, I went for titling the issue, but that was dropped several pages in no time.

I'm seeing lots of the same questions in world the last few days, and also starting to repeat here. Can we please have an answer on this?

Outsider post:

My post:
/invalid_link.html

Reproduced from my post yesterday morning:
I was browsing around to actually OWN land, and unfortunately, the parameters I used are bringing in ungodly amounts of greedy covenant dealers, who are asking about 6 times more, on average, than to own my own land outright... (200 a month just for 40,000 is not a deal to me).

Is there any parameters to use that would eliminate 'leases' and 'covenants', to where I can search for land wholly for sale?

If there isn't, is there any plan to implenment a 'without covenant' search parameter?

I've been looking for an hour and STILL haven't tped to land for actual sale, as opposed to covenant. And since, unless the owner decides to put in covenant/for lease in the description, I haven't seen any other way to combat this.

(BTW: It makes the rest of the users feel crappy when you rush to answer questions about Philip's car, but ignore the real questions. I know one of you can't answer them all cause they are all different, but I miss when Torley would say 'I'll check with X Linden", so at least we knew someone read the darn thing.)

Hello! I've actually answered about 100 questions in the last few days, unfortuantely we've gotten about 300 questions in the last week or so. Per the About this Forum guidelines, we will try to answer these questions within 10 days, if you're looking for tech support, it might be better to try contacting them directly via this page.

I've combined your two threads and passed this onto our Land team for their answer.

It is not currently possible to filter the search results to filter out non-mainland property rentals, rentals with or without covenants or "for lease".

These are good feature ideas that have been suggested before. I have bumped this issue internally, added this post to it .... however it is not currently in active development.

<edit: Jeska beat me! Too many lindens answering questions! ;)>

Thanks guys, I knew the catchy title would work, it got me 2! And Jeska, you copy and paste you cheater! :P (I know they are the same questions, I probably would too.) I know it can take 10 days, but so far as I've seen, if it's not on the first 3 pages, it's rarely answered, was trying to get ahead of the 50 same blog problem posts. Yes, I'm a bad resi! I've just been tearing my hair out to find land in a good spot. Hey, don't you guys WANT my money? :D

Kelly, thanks for the specifics. I don't mind that there isn't an ETA, I suppose, just glad to know it's on the to-do list somewheres!
