Can you make the new camera "feature" optional?

Seems I'm not the only one.

I am aggregating threads related to this for feedback to the devs. I would like a snappier way myself too.

It also occurred to me some don't know that they can take pictures using Ctrl-` or File menu > Snapshot to Disk.
