Hello again.

This is a followup to /139/df/113606/1.html .

I am glad to hear the new group tools that are beeing released soon (any approximated ETA?) will help with that matter.

And also thank you for the reply on the security systems and the delay..

But I would not have automatic defenses. I would have other users, trusted friends of mine, trigger the gohome of the script. That means, it's not an automatic process, it's friends of mine sending home other users from my land using a tool/script I provide. And the question was:

Is it against the TOS to allow my friends to do that, even tho they are not admins of my land?

Example: I own Land X. I now make a script that enables, for example, you to use a command like "gohome Weird Griefer" that will teleport a User named "Weird Griefer" home, ejecting him from my land. Now "Weird Griefer" decides to file an abuse report, reporting you and me for ejecting him from the land, and says it'd be against TOS that you can eject him like that, even though you are not the land admin.

What exactly would happen, then? What would the answer be?

Thanks again,
Sheila!

Using system tools such as land ejection and entrusting your friends with the appropriate privileges to do it is perfectly alright. That's what the tools are for, and you shouldn't be subject to undue harassment by nasty, let alone weird griefers. ;)

Also, historically about security scripts:

/invalid_link.html

As long as you keep yourself civil and in the clear--e.g., no shooting back at the griefer or harassing him in return--the abuse reports sent by this Weird Griefer will not count for a dang thing.

No approximate ETA on the groups yet, but they are long-wanted. I am working with the developers involved on testing usability for the new Groups system, and've been reported bugs internally... in hopes it will come out sooner. It'll be open to public Preview before it rolls out on the "Main Grid" so you can play with it ahead of time.

Hope this helps ya, Sheila. :)
