I just had a question... but I also want to say THANKYOU!!! much to Dee Linden for talking to me inworld just now Sat. night about my packet loss issue..... You took the time to talk to me and let me vent a bit and really wanted to try and help me. For that I must say thank you ---- Take note everyone and other Lindens see I don't just always bitch about everything.... That is the kind of service I want for the money I am paying she replied to my IM right away.... and was very nice and understanding of my anger at 135% packet loss. I mean I could not even move... Anyway one more time thank you Dee
On that note Lindens one thing I told Dee Linden and I am putting it here so someone else might see it as well... The only time in the last month or so that I have been having issues with packet loss is when there are more then 10,000 users logged in.. hmmm LL having some bandwith issues what are you doing to fix that???? is my question??? My highest packet loss times are when LL load times are the highest... So that should mean its server side right? not client side..... Well anyway I hope that an answer here comes as quick as Dee's did in world tonight... thank you Dee your the best

Hiya Dan! Dee saw this, and she thinks this was awfully sweet of you. She'll be IMing you, if she hasn't already! As for your other question -- From: Dan Doyle On that note Lindens one thing I told Dee Linden and I am putting it here so someone else might see it as well... Well anyway I hope that an answer here comes as quick as Dee's did in world tonight... thank you Dee your the best What you should specifically do is run a traceroute ( http://secondlife.com/community/drivers.php ) comparing less than/greater than ~10,000 Residents logged in. I'm not aware of a direct correlation, but we should have some solid numbers. While Linden Answers isn't the right place for that as the Guidelines show, you should post in Technical Issues and compare it to other Residents' results -- that will help a lot, knowing it's not just you, because there are a number of things that can cause packet loss and it's important to be very specific. Best of luck.
