New access improvement worthless

The biggest improvement to parcel control is the ability to use the Account Type information to determine which Residents can access your parcel. This setting is located in the "Access" tab under "About Land". Land owners can choose to allow access only to accounts containing "Payment Info on File" (this means that the Resident has billing information in their profile but has not yet used it to purchase anything) or "Payment Info Used" (this means that the Resident has used the billing information in their account successfully) in their profiles. The default setting of "None" means that no restrictions are in place based upon Account Type.

Torley,

This improvement is practically worthless. Why?

For one, it's not in the Estate Tools.

And two, the ban lines for this only reach 50 meters high... leaving skyboxes and higher builds and stores wide open to any and all, same as before.

Perhaps in the next update this could be added to Estate Tools?

Jennifer,

This is a "Janus" situation:
* Some Residents who have no payment info on file with us are terribly concerned the skies will be unflyable if ban heights on the Access list are extended to 768 m. Related: /139/03/120176/1.html

* The Estate Tools point is a good one. Some Liaisons mentioned it earlier, in relation to not having to parcel-hop to keep people out.
We'll continue to watch for practical usage and feedback--as expected, it will be conflicty, but we'll dig out the good parts.

[UPDATE]
Re: "For one, it's not in the Estate Tools.", I found out from Cube Linden that this is now on the todo list. Forthcoming developments may likely result in much joy. :)
