Ok you respond to my bug reports about invisible avatar, which began as soon as I downloaded 1.9. I know from another thread there are countless others with the same problem. First, you tell me it's my firewall. I make sure the required ports are enabled. Still invisible. Then you tell me, I don't meet the minium specs. I do. I just checked. That's a tick on each count. I never had this issue until this update, and the following update hasn't fixed it.
Last night I waited an hour and still hadn't become visible. I just logged off, as I have been all week.
My questions are:
-Do you realise that by continuously fobbing off blame for problems in your updates on the customer puts otherwise loyal and LL-loving customers noses severely out of joint?
-Are you going to fix this issue, or are you no longer looking at it, because you've decided we all have crap systems and don't know what we're doing?
-Why should I pay $US84.95 a month to be invisible?
-At what point do you acknowledge you have provided totally unsatisfactory service to a customer and they are by no means getting what they're paying for? I've been invisble for a quarter of the month. What do you intend to do about the fact you can't deliver the product I pay for?
-Does it concern you, that a huge Sl and LL fan no longer logs on, will soon be paying you $US75 a month less in tier, and is totally disillusioned?

Fade, sucks you're having such a harsh time with this. It's happened to me too! It's not just you.
It's really important to get this fixed--and make it as easy for you as possible. As I mentioned earlier in the "invisible avatar" thread, it is currently listed as a known issue: * Downloading clothing message, and temporarily invisible avatar, when logging into 1.9.0 Keep checking Known Issues for Karen's updates! YES I HOPE THIS WILL BE FIXED SOON TOO. _____________________

I wanted to post an update:
I have found and fixed the problem that causes invisible avatars on login. The fix will ship with Second Life 1.9.0 (1  , expected some time next week.Basically, an attempt to optimize the world map backfired. We were trying to preload some of its information on startup. Sometimes, especially on Mac (which has small network buffers), especially on lossy network connections (ie, not in our office), this would cause the avatar's shape information to be lost or massively delayed. I'm sorry to say there's no good workaround until 1.9.0 (1 . Please don't try to change your avatar's appearance until your avatar is visible - this may cause clothing items to be damaged.James Source _____________________
