Seriously. What purpose does this have in the majority of the world?
I can see for some of the kewl items in SL needing the push script, but not many do. Aside from weapons.
Why hasn't LL made Push something for each resident to decied if they wish to be affected by or not? A simple checkmark in an appropriate field.
There are many many posts asking for this. Not sure about any in Feature Voting, but reguardless, this should be something LL should be looking at. As mentioned by other residents, being able to set your avatar to NoPush would eliminate 95% of griefing. Land owners would still be able to defend thier land (TP-Home) so I can't see a downside.
And as another resident summed up; It is sad that we have a system to where we must click acceptance of a hug inworld, but people can shoot/push/orbit us without our concent.
Linden comment?

Heya Jessy. Many moons ago, I asked this myself--I got many varied answers from scripters who used push functions to make useful things, such as elevators, vehicles, building tools, and more. I suppose it's like a pillow. It can be soft, you can sleep on it. You can also smother someone to death. (Not that *I* would, just saying... *shifty eyes* ) We do recognize the gross abuses of push when used with weapons. Disrupting another Resident's life in such a way is never acceptable, and to give more control over the experience in response to how many people asked for it and for how long (!), we're going to be adding NO-push controls on a per-parcel basis. Related. Yes, the voting proposals made a difference! And tentatively speaking, it will ALSO allow conditions for landowners to use push on themselves consensually as-needed, as well as some other rules (being determined). So, hopefully some long-needed relief in this area soon. And once people get it, they'll never know a Second Life without it. There'll just be memories, "Remember when..." From: Jessica Elytis And as another resident summed up; It is sad that we have a system to where we must click acceptance of a hug inworld, but people can shoot/push/orbit us without our concent. That's genius. Who said that? They get a hug! And of course, you get a big *huggerz* too!
