It appears to be being ignored again, as there are many multiple postings of the same event all back to back lasting 24 hours, and others breaking other parts of the conditions for posting.

Could we *please* have a "Report Bad Event" button, so that the on-duty Lindens can be notified so they can keep the calendar clean for REAL events and get rid of the clutter.

Every time I post, I make sure that my event fits the guidelines. Not everyone bothers, making it very unfair for those who genuinely run real events instead of 24 hour Tringo and unattended yard sales. Please, tell me... when were 'camping chairs' classed as an event? (yes, 31 events currently advertise 'camping chairs' - and that's just today).

Unless the events calendar is kept in good order, it will suffer the same fate as the forums. Please do something, even if it means getting volunteers (yes I am volunteering) to pre-sort and check the reported bad events for Linden action.

I agree, time and time we hear this come up -- many times in the forums historically about a "Report Bad Event" button and similar ideas.

In the long run, we hope to rework events, as I mentioned to nimrod here:

Currently, I'm not aware of any resources being put into it, at least until we've completed other pressing priorities first.

With scalability involved, appears like a better long-term way is to involve a Digg-like system for the community or make better spam filters.
