I was wondering what the future of the events list would be. I used to look at it all the time, but now that it is filled with spam and crap I haven't even looked at it in many months.
Since you admitted to taking no action against offenders because it would be too time consuming, why not enforce harsher punishments? You said that you are not the police ("We are not the police" -Torley), but are you going to provide an alternative or just give up axe it like the forums for third parties to answer? Why not try to do something before it worsens?

nim, I answered part of this earlier:
/139/11/138020/1.html Lindens also discussed about harsher punishments, but that takes away time from working on an already-saturated Abuse Queue. We want to focus on particularly egregious, recalcitrant violations of the Community Standards first. As well as other priorities which come before, such as XUI revamping so that the future Second Life has a more flexible, and hence, customizable user interface. (Never enough time...) Someday, I hope the Events list gets something akin to good "spam filters" so you don't have to see crap. It's too early to say what we are going to do with it, but I feel the same way you do. _____________________
