I know search is borked right now, and I have seen a couple of people ask about this, but I just need some clarification here. I've already bug reported this and read the blog about it, and need some more information.

It appears that only the first word in a cklassified ad title matters for search: I can search on whatever the first word is, but not any other words in the ad title or description.

If the ad title is "The Old Curiosity Shop" then it will show up as a result if I use the search word "The" but not "Old" or "Curiosity" or "Shop" etc. If the title is "Old Curiosity Shop" then it will show up with "old" but not "curiosity" or "shop" or "the" et cetera.

Only the first word can be searched!

So -- our classified ads really do kind of boil down to being able to advertize ONE WORD -- pick it carefully!

Will this be fixed?

I am really not getting any new customers except by word of mouth, and so I do wonder how I will be able to notify potential customers of my existence with classifieds operating the way they are.

Thanks,
Poppet
