I'm not asking that grid closure and bug fixes be postponed for 24 hours. That would cause more problems. But if the rollbacks could be announced within a reasonable time, and give residents who aren't online all day a chance to pick up their items, and stating the time that you are rolling back too is key also, much less content loss would be experienced. I chose 24 hours because I am only able to get in-world for a couple hours in the evenings. Anything that takes place during the night or next day I won't know about till the following evening. I understand people would have to hold their builds or build and take the part they did into their inventory before the rollback, but I think that is a small price to pay to avoid so much content loss. Yes please act quickly on the bugs, exploits, and major problems that require grid shut down, but once the problems are fixed there is no HUGE hurry to roll back the grid...give people who work and have children a chance to see the announcements too.
