Run Other Script Option Disabled - Yet Scripted Items TP'ng In Still Runs

Hi Torley,

Hope all is well. I read this QA in this thread & it reminded me of a situation I've seen a couple of times now just this past week.

I've noticed something on our private island when I disable the "Run Other Scripts" option. When someone teleports in, the resident's AV Scan scripts actually activates. It'll say "AV Scan On" in green text apon arriving from the TP. This is telling me the script had started up or it is at least trying to start up & then maybe it get's disabled after their AV has actually landed from the TP.

I guess my question is, when someone TP's onto the island even when the Run Other Scripts option is disabled, does a scripted item an AV is wearing have the ability to try to start until the sim actually kicks in to not allow the scripted item to run? Or is the sim not catching this scripted item & it is running.

LOL, another take on what I'm thinking, think of the script as an asteroid. The asteroid is headed to earth (private island - SL). Before this asteroid collides onto the surface of the earth, it goes through the atmosphere that sometimes breaks up the asteroid (TP would be the atmosphere to stop the script from running before arriving). Then of course, sometimes the asteroid does make it to the surface & makes an impact (AV Scan script activates - getting through the Run Other Scripts option disabled).
