Winter is 100% correct in her assessment of the situation. Yes, you guys have a lot on your plate, but this is a feature that has existed in SL longer than I can remember, and it is a critical necessity that even the most absolute basic client needs to have to function in this world. It is not something to be mysteriously pulled out of the client, and left up to the residents to invent.

Please, for the love of all that is SL, don't flub this up. Heck, I'm on the verge of purchasing an island, something I swore I'd never do. But if this feature ends up on the chopping block of functionality to be permanently removed or broken like so much else in SL, I will just take my cash and call it quits. How many paying customers does SL need to lose?

Let me give you an idea of how much money individuals contribute to this company. To date, I've spent $2,826.11 on this world, entirely out of pocket, after subtracting the little cash I've extracted. And I'm on the low-end of most land-owning users for total income contributed to SL. Now, I'm not sure how much you get paid, Torley, but $2800 is no trivial amount of money to someone like me who works for tips. And aside from some RL car purchases, I've never spent that much in any one place.

I am a loyal user of this company's services, and I've been a paying customer longer than the majority of active accounts. But this is a deal breaker for myself and many others. Please, don't kill our world.
