Critical Exploit in Estate Ban Function

Hi guys. Lately we’ve been having repeated problems in Taco, where people are bypassing estate bans and harassing our residents. In these cases, kicking and re-banning them is ineffective and almost always calls for Linden intervention. Myself and other Taco administrators experimented with finding ways to break in to our own sim, and we discovered that it is not difficult to do. We were hoping that these exploits would be patched in the latest update, since I had AR’d and bug-reported these previous occurrences already. Today after the update, I used an alt to test if the estate ban could still be bypassed, and indeed it could.

I have documented every scenario I could find to bypass the estate ban. I’ve submitted them in bug reports for Linden review instead of posting them here.

This problem has become more substantial as more and more people discover these exploits. I feel like I’ve had to ask for help from the Lindens on an almost nightly basis now. I’m posting this in hopes that we can get some kind of confirmation that you guys are aware of these problems.
