It looks like the person who necessitated the ~hour long downtime yesterday's just getting a 3-day suspension, according to the Police Blotter. Is that the normal suspension for this sort of thing? I guess I'm surprised they're not permanently banned, as their intentions to disrupt the world appear clear.

Actually, there are two three-day suspensions for grid attacks.

I see two on the police blotter.

What are we playing here, patty-cake?

Edit: Thank you, Jim, for bringing my attention to Robin's earlier answer. I withdraw this question.

response to 3-day suspension topic

I wanted to reply to the previous posts, but for some reason I'm not allowed to reply. Why's that? (that's my first question.)

Second, I agree with the other posters regarding the consequences for yesterday's grid attack. I was caught in that spamstorm, and for a newbie, it was pretty debilitating. I would think a permanent ban would be in order. Clearly, it wasn't accidental. Not like someone accidentally created a spamming object. Rather, it was more along the lines of "virtual terrorism," complete with strange pseudo-religious slogans ...

My two cents.

OK ... about the suspensions

Robin responded to this last nite, and at the time of this writing it is still on the first page.

If her response still leaves questions, that would be a good place to begin, instead of covering ground already plowed.

Just my 2$L ... fwiw ...

Final word on the suspension(s)?

If I could reply to it, I would. In any case, the police blotter shows they're suspended for 3 days. What's the final word on it?
