Date: Monday, October 2, 2006 Violation: Terms of Service: Global Attacks Region:Description: grid attack (1st warning) Action taken: Suspended 3 days.

Is it standard to allow people who attack the grid to return after three days? Are there any statistics that might help us feel more at ease which might demonstrate that a 3 day suspension has been successful in curbing this issue in the past?

Or more generally, is there any information (FAQ, forum posts, etc) that I can read and point out to others to show that the suspension measures are effective for the majority of offenses?

When someone attacks the grid and brings all of Second Life to its knees you can be sure if we can trace the origin we permanently ban the person who caused it.

There are occasions when an attack is limited (e.g. someone firebombs an event and crashes the server) when we will warn or suspend the person responsible. However, for an attack such as the current one, perma-banning is the response.
