SL Railroad - quick friendly question

Prompted by this really fun-sounding call for SLRR station designs:

/3/21/142336/1.html

Firstly, I'm going to recommend this to a TON of people - great idea!

Second - I've been working on an admittedly much smaller railroad, a mere four sims (so far!), but found that residents have REALLY responded to the idea of designing their own locomotives, cars and such.

Figuring everyone could benefit, I started issuing sample scripts and full mod copies of my trains, so if anyone wanted to I could put their train design into the Caledon National Rail system.

Any chance that the SLRR project could do the same, i.e. sharing their cars, engines and scripts 'full mod' and accepting trains that met specifications?

It's the perfect SL experience: collaborative, fun, and not bank-breaking for anybody - plus the tech will spread throughout the grid and seed similar projects all over the place.

What do you think? If you do this, you just might get some vintage steam... ;)

Hi Desmond

We are going to be buying train designs in the next Build Bid. I don't feel it would be fair to then hand them out to everyone for free.

The scripts are not just my work so I would have to ask all concerned.

I am sorry if this sounds negative but I am trying to be fair all round. So basically I will see what is possible in the future.
