Re: /139/fe/131044/1.html
In a town hall Philip said that the plan was to roll out, possibly in a slightly more amended form, many of the estate management tools such as top scripts etc. You should know that - last time someone said it here you queried it, and they posted a reply to you with the link to the transcript.
I've not been agitating for this too much because I was under the impression it was on the BLOTTD. If it's not then please, please add my voice to the list of those wanting it.
Top scripts and colliders by parcel and sim - yes please.
Not all of the tools (painting the land for example, updating sim maps) make sense for the mainland, but the ones that let us investigate what we're doing to the sim, and to see what others are doing to should be available and will be a great boon to those of us that try to act responsibly.
They will also allow us to negotiate with our neighbours when they're doing something silly - rather than, as I had to recently, asking a liaison in to sort the sim out because my neighbours inadvertently had about 50 physical objects in close proximity crashing together. When they found out why and we had a chat they agreed they'd have happily sorted it themselves if they could have had access to the tools.
I'm sure there's some potential for griefing there too - but it's petty human nature style, and I'll lay long odds you'll get less harrased liaisons and only a moderate increase in griefing - there are so many other ways bad neighbours do it after all.
