Hello, There is a user created group called "SL Feature Voting Awareness", while that was fine, I found it really weird that Lindens are backing this group as the de facto Feature voting group. My opposition to this is the following: From: Angel Fluffy
* to encourage LL to look hard at residents' suggestions on the FVT and where good ideas are proposed, implement them.

If you want to encourage others to vote on the FVT, or Lindens to look harder at what is on the FVT, then please join this group. Membership is a badge of pride to say "I voted, and I want my vote to count!".
The suggestion has been made by Angel Fluffy that Lindens would look harder at feature vote only if you join this group. I find this unacceptable, as I do not have to join some resis created group to have my feature request looked in by Lindens. This is not how things work. Please stop encourging one resis's personal group over other here. If you want a real feature voting group, create a Linden based one. I for one would not feel good if my feature requests are being over looked just cause I'm not in some group that someone made for feature vorting. Question is, why is this a sticky, and are you Lindens implying that you will NOT look into feature requests that were made by people not in this so called FVT group?

Hi Wrom! I've spoken with Angel about related topics at length -- I don't know what you've communicated with Angel and his many, many ideas. The situation is as follows: boosting the Feature Voting Tool because I know how much it gets forgotten and overlooked, and I have to hear many complaints as a result of that, e.g. "It doesn't work!" Simply: Angel took the initiative and filled a gap where there was nothing before. He went through just about every proposal, commented on each, and is spreading the word to include, not exclude. And clarification: it's not a case of "only", it's certainly not exclusive. It's a beacon to draw the extra attention of Lindens to Resi proposals in general, *not* merely group members. You don't have to be in the group. It doesn't get anyone looked over. It's a resource, but not mandatory. Any and all Resis with wonderful ideas and subsequent action when it comes to the FTV or other improvements for Linden<--->Resi communication, are appreciated. It's better than decaying in the gray. I'd recommend if you've got something you want to contribute, don't hesitate to contact Jean Linden, our Community Manager with a focus. 'Cause if you wanna share, or if you want to start a group, etc. we don't want to miss out. Background: For the love of a new and improved Feature Voting Tool! |
