In your previous response to my question here about putting payment details on alts, you stated

No Lewis, you won't be charged, since Basic accounts are free. Putting your payment info won't get you charged

However, having just gone through the process to create another alt, when putting in my payment details to receive my L$250 startup bonus, I noticed

Remember—this step is optional, and you won't be charged unless you decide to purchase additional Linden Dollars, buy your own land, or create additional accounts.

at the bottom of the page where you put in card details.

Sorry to ask again, but whilst I have no problem verifying my details, I don't want to be charged for additional avatars. You say I won't, the website says otherwise. My guess is the website, but I don't want to be charged $30 when you don't think I should be.

Sure thing, Lewis: the system links you by details such as billing. So if it detects you that way, you will be charged for an alt. I know the reality that people are signing up for free alts and using different or no billing details. Just to inform you, so you know. Take care. :)
