The bill that was passed yesterday still needs to go to the Senate where it will have an even harder time getting passed than it did in the House.

As far as myself, I think this possible ban is a serious problem that infringes on our personal freedoms as Americans gauranteed to us by the Constitution of the United States of America. As decent and moral citizens we can make up our own mind as to what we think is moral and what is not, or what is a healthy lifestyle and what is not, and so on and so on. We do not need a government body to tell us this and we should not stand for it either. To be frank, this is not and should not be the role of our government anyway.

Gambling may not be as old as the race of man, it is still nothing new and has been a part of our world culture for thousands of years in many, many forms. We have managed to survive just fine with out these ridiculous regulations that have been passed just within the last century. If you disagree with gambling, well fine... no one is sticking a gun to your head forcing you to do it. So why try to interefere with the lives of others. People should spend more time worrying about their own families and not about the choices that others are making around them. You are free to make your own choices in life as are those around you. So you should respect that as those around you do.

It's not about morality. It's about the additional revenue the government is missing out on by not having internet gambling regulated.

Too bad it's unenforcable.

Anonymous proxies and foreign on-line VISA accounts make this yet another waste of time and tax payer money.

I do not disagree with you on that, however that is not the approach the government is using as an angle to ban internet gambling. Morality has just been one of the issues that has been discussed within congress. And that is why I positioned my reply as it is.

Yeah... we'll see how much you believe that when you're being hauled off to jail. If China can regulate the internet, we can do it better.
