Do you sell cheap on GOM?

I'll sell my money on GOM at the highest rate I can get for the time frame I have given myself. As would anyone who isn't trying some sort of trick strategy.

If too many ppl seem to be selling the $L "too low", it is because their time horizons have been constricted. In other words the time value of money has increased for them.

The usual suspect here is monetary base expansion. The same phenomenon is why the US economy is crumbling from within. People have much less "monetary patience", to put it plainly.

Exhorting ppl to hold out for "the good of the economy" is futile. Obviously what constitutes the good of the economy is different for those who are selling relatively low than it is for those who refuse to.

Short of having a means of destroying lindens from the game environment, the $L will trend downward in the long run against say, gold or oil. Whether it does so against the dollar will depend on how much the dollar drops.

As for IGE, the reason why they can sell their $L high is because people want to buy it from them, because they are way more convenient than GOM.

Otherwise, no one would use them and they would go out of business.

Price fixing? Culling specific answers by manipulating the questions?

Come on.

What's next? I insulted the poor pope?

Speculation of a market hardly constitutes price fixing in any way. Especially since I am a participant in the market and have no control in any way over the market itself.

The US$4/L$1000 was just a base median I made up to discuss the market trend many people see happening. The median can be anything and is merely an average. It is in no way a price-fixing strategy and the questions I used that are based on this median are not an attempt to manipulate or adversly affect anything.

I literally just want to discuss this trend and the inferrences we can make for it's existence from our own experiences and hypotheses.

A lot of the issues that have come are perfectly legitimate points relating to the discussion. However, personal attacks, accusations, and assumptions of motive are not part of the discussion. Where in any of this did I invite such vitriol from anyone?

Where did I say it was wrong to sell low? Where did I say anything that personally attacked someone, accused someone of something, or made an assumption of someones motivations (and please, tell me we can understand the difference between inferrence, hypothesis, and assumption).

If this discussion isn't going to go back to being on topic, I'm going to regretfully withdraw. There is simply no point in deflecting accusations.
