I needed some prims, so I went in fairly agressively. Thought perhaps it was another land baron, so I just decided to win.

I don't do this often, so don't lick your chops about me lurking in auctions to spike land value, barons-of-land.

No, we dont have swimming pools or movie stars... just a bunch of feted inner core and wanna be feted inner core people (like me). We are more like Palm Springs.

We try... almost too hard.

Wu, Schwanson, I suggest you buy land in sims where Maxx resides.. he tends to bump up the land value.

On a similar note, Schwanson intends to build a lovely giant toilet on his land there..which ought to bring the land values in Boardman right back down again.

*shrugs*

Well, it was worth $262 to me to spend my Second Life living next to Barnesworth Anubis and having him build me a house in his suburban recreation...but it wasn't worth $263 : )

Well, it does g to show you that perhaps the Land Barons might think more about developing their properties.

It could end up to be worth a lot more.

Spread over 12 months, the cost isn't a big deal. Again, as I posted elsewhere, I've apparently made an 'enemy' by winning that auction, but it was totally worth it to me to have that plot.

I'm not about to go anywhere, I love Boardman and the people that have decided to live there. Its really looking nice, and I'm not embarassed to admit I live there anymore, thanks to the efforts of Ingrid, Toast, and Barnesworth.

You guys rock the core sims.

this is quite an accomplishment for the trio! not only has maxx bought land at an exorbitant price, but he is happy about it. they have made peace between land baron and prim baron.

:D

I haven't visited the Boardman community in awhile but have come by more, lately. :)

It looks like a nice place with nice people. If my car is too loud (in the color sense) for the neighborhood, just let me know. Thanks, I don't want to cause a disturbance.

Just be careful of Toast. She looks cute but she's evil. And she's small so the evil is more concentrated.

Yes, I am resigned to forever being banished outside the gates of the gated community of Boardman, gnashing my teeth and wailing, peering forlornly through through the bars at Toast's animated birdbath, Marcos' car park, Barnes Colorado ranch house beams, and Ingrid's clever wall around somebody's um less-than-pretty build...because I didn't have $263, but just $262.

ARGHGGHGHGHGHGHGHHGHG!!!!

No, that's not the context, as I've explained elsewhere.

Theres alot of value in the core sims... being able to build in places easily accessable to random players (in ways islands will never be) and having near complete terraforming control, theres alot of value there. Its not easy starting from scratch and building something noteworthy in SL, and getting good land can be a very consuming desire.

We have almost all of perry now, and believe me when i say, at least for me, its been worth the time/effort/expense to have that kind of freedom to realize ideas

Oh yeah, not to mention she put me in a rather precarious situation before with several attachments... hmmmmmm! Warning heeded. ;)
