This is an interesting discussion, Nexus. I will try to attend the 6PM meeting.

Interesting Thread
09-24-2005 04:41
In RL I am a Financial Planner/Registered Securities Representative/Enrolled Agent US Income Tax Preparer. I find this Thread fascinating. I am new to SL and I find it even more than fascinating. I explored GOM and placed some trades there. I believe the economy of SL is undergoing an evolution which will end in a stronger more stable L$.

My observations:

1. Most of the SL economic activity is discretionary spending, is this problematic perhaps?

2. A person can live in SL without spending any L$ and without contributing anything of value to the economy. (I would not want to, but a person could)

3. I am happy to see that no one has proposed any type of tax system by the LL government, although the land tiers are property taxes, in a manner of speaking, I suppose.

This is a great idea, I would love to assist in any way I can.

Will transcripts of the meetings be made available as I know at least two people (well one person and me) who wanted to attend but were unable? Thanks.

I think Nexus has a transcript of the meeting (at least the second of the two meetings) and I assume (though perhaps wrongly) that he will be making that available or at least boiling it down to the nitty gritty.
