I wouldn't buy anything with that brand.
They
- never work - are way over priced - you can not get any support for these goods.
I highly suggest you avoid this stuff like the plague.
BTW, this brand is completely fictional and this post is really here just to prove a point.
I have never bought anything from Templar BotWorks, and I'm sure it's all fine. However, obviously, simply being able to post whatever you want about anything, whether or true or not, is not desireable.

When I originally came onto the scene, I was quite happy that disparaging groups would be reasonable behaviour .. just not individuals.
I thought, groups are dangerous because they can succumb to lynch mob behavior and as individuals we should have the ability to fight back.
However, it's very difficult to seperate groups and individuals at times. Rules were made in these forums that disparaging groups is not allowable .. something I have come to agree with for practical reasons:
I have been the target of someone completely lying. I now know what it feels like.
So, now I guess I think it's ok to disparage mind sets. For example, cliquish behavior, or geeky knowitallism. Stuff like that.
But disparaging a group with members with clearly defineable members, should only be allowed under the course of due process, such as a law proceeding.
For example - saying all people who are 2 years old on SL are a bunch of FICCers, would be wrong.
Saying people who think that being around longer means your more valueable would be OK.
The difference being that people in the first set are clearly defined, while in the second set they are not.
Sometimes terminology gets confusing - people think FIC is a clearly defined group, whereas I think it is a mindset. When I refer to that group in a disparaging way, people think I'm attacking a well defined group, when really I'm just complaining about elitism.
Anyhow, I got off on a tangent here. The original post in this thread was merely a comment about why open season on brands or individuals or groups should not be allowed in these forums, because it just provides a megaphone to any person with a grudge - whether reasonable or not.

I decry the abuse of the marketplace perpetuated by this firm. Please ignore any prior posts I may have made to the contrary as I was paid to praise their products on these Forums.

Since "Confused McMumbles" is on my PLONK list, someone give me the executive summary? Because I know Enabran isn't in this virtual world to scam people. On the contrary, the customers he does have to deal with would leave me bald from tearing out my own hair in frustration from their ill-formed queries.
And, just as a note - it helps to spell your subject of derision, no matter how alcohol-fueled your intent is, properly. Someone help grandpa over here to a chair, he's got a lot of 'splainin to do.
Christ, these forums are a mess sometimes, and I'm beginning to see the pattern, especially from Mr.-Hey-Lets-Post-About-That-Time-Nearly-Farted-But-Crapped-Myself-Instead cluttering things up here.
Flame on!
Enjoy.

From: Surina Skallagrimson Maxx, I think you just proved the point of the thread... Yeah, thanks - he's still at it - but reduced to that lovely one line "This user is on your Ignore List" that I've come to love as much as a fine pint of Stella Artois (sp?)....anyway, thanks for the effort, Surina.

Even if you were serious about this, blaze, it wouldn't bother me. I have more than 500 customers who will attest to the excellence of my brand and products -- not a single one has ever requested a refund due to lack of service. Moreover, my handling of customer support would never even allow such an issue as this to reach the forums, as I have strict internal policies for customer satisfaction (I'm not going to reveal all of them): - Response to all inquiries/support requests within 24 hours during "normal" periods - Response to all inquiries/support requests with 48 hours during vacations and other periods of away-ness - Automatically-delivered updates, free to all customers - In-person, immediate response to support queries if I am on the grid - Rebates and discounts for loyal customers - Referral bonuses for enthusiastic customers - Full refund rewards for customers who send more than 5 referrals So, I'm not worried. My reputation speaks for itself -- so should it speak for all other businesses. My customers are important to me -- I wouldn't have been able to get through my last months of college without them. I would never, ever allow a dissatisfied customer to reach such a point of frustration as to inspire this sort of forum post. Let no other businessman, either. edit: By the way... Am I allowed to say baze sinnaker is an insufferable, vulgar... nevermind.

Templar's House of Bots and Shit makes an excellent sandwich maker thingy. It is much better than my indigo blue George Foreman Grill! I am a very happy customer.

How could you! You were under NDA to disclose neither the new "House of Bots and Shit" brand NOR the sandwich maker. This will give my competitors everything they need to crush me. You'll be hearing from my lawyer, Mr. Midnight. Make no mistake.

If it means anything at all... I met Enabran in the forums. And I have been so busy with my own things (even though he and I have IMed a couple of times in world), I did not know he had a known business (and I don't even think we have had a chance to meet in world - unless at a formal meeting)!! haha.. I'm so very much going to find that business now. So thank you Blaze. At least something good came of this thread for me.

Templar Botworks has a building in the Nexus Prime build in the Gibson sim, just west of Morris and south of Bonafacio, isn't that right, Enabran?
Nexus Prime is worth looking at just for the build so you might as well drop by.

The Templar Building in Nexus Prime is indeed conveniently located just south of the Bonifacio Welcome Area. The building, open to the public, features amenities such as a helipad, comfortable and spacious sky lobby, wood paneled offices, a sales lobby where you can score the latest Templar Botworks gear, and plenty of secret passages and teleporters. All are invited!

If you like I'll build you a lawyer Enabran, high prim AND high price. Briefcase and pitiless attitude thrown in free!
By the way I've been working on a sandwich maker myself, got the idea from somewhere, which will spit out Virgin Mary grilled cheeseses all day long!

TorBot JL-2086 is proudly a Templar BotWorks creation, with a dash of watermelon effervescence (o how does etymology get away with words like this?)! I'd like to take this time to graciously thank Enab for making such a thing with attention to detail yet a great overview of the big picture—what constitutes an excellent av package! Speaking of package, the packaging r0x0rs too. More new Residents should visit Nexus Prime. Besides being kewl loads of fun (yes I'm cyberpunk.bias), it's HISTORICAL. Ano, I laff everytime the George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine is mentioned in these very SL Forums. +1! I look forward to seeing one of those in SL, as well as miscellaneous other cool schtuff!

My geography was off slightly but I was close.
Gibson is just south of the Bonifacio sim where Templar Botworks is.
I am trying to learn a few more sim names and get the locations fixed in my mind.
If you enter through the door adjacent to the helipad, when you get to what you would think would be stairs, watch the first step, it's a doozy.
There is a nice stream playing, it would be a good place to go with friends to listen to music and chat. And walk through the architecture, and use the nice scripted elevators. And of course to put on some skates and your ROAM and do some jumping and flipping in the different levels the cityscape has.

It's not your customers you need to be worried about, but rather competitors posing as customers. Or, say, people who just don't like you. For example, what if I decided to take all those things you have said personally and follow you around with made up names and started spreading lies about you. This is what happens to Anshe and other industrious individuals. No, there is very good reason why we don't allow personal attacks, and why attacks against brands and such should not be allowed, except under due process of law. The fact is, if you do give public forum to this sort of languages, then you going to reduce the marketplace to he said / she said type behaviour. My recommendation for the SL economy: try before buy and a friendster recommendation infrastructure which uses our "friends" inworld.

For example, what if I decided to take all those things you have said personally and follow you around with made up names and started spreading lies about you. Not a problem. My reputation speaks for itself. My customer loyalty is top notch. More than enough to make such an issue irrelevant. I'd barely have to do any work. Heck, look at this thread.
